Making Cookies with Oreo at SXSW

If you were in Austin for this year’s SXSW, there’s a good chance you saw the Oreo Trending Vending Lounge where you could create and consume a 3D printed Oreo cookie. It was the definition of cutting edge technology. The lines to experience the Oreo exhibit were long and steady (in some cases up to 3-hours) throughout the Interactive portion of SXSW, which is why it’s safe to say that Trending Vending Lounge was a smashing success, and was all the talk across social media (scroll down to see).

And we were proud to do our part in bringing it to life. Crafted from two of our 20-foot shipping containers, inside of the branded exhibit visitors found charging stations, a DJ, and free wi-fi. And oh yeah – a 3D cookie machine built by Maya Design, that created custom Oreo cookies based on trending social conversations. It doesn’t get much sweeter than that.

We really enjoyed our trip to Austin, and working with innovative companies like Oreo and Maya Design. If you’re ready to create an event that people can’t stop talking about, get in touch.
