A couple of weeks back we announced a photo contest during the 2012 Democratic National Convention. We had over 30 repurposed containers in Charlotte for the DNC and we asked you, our friends and fans, to upload pictures to your various social media streams, and tag them #InTheWild.
First of all, what a fun event. We’re proud to be a Charlotte-based company and think our city did an outstanding job of hosting the DNC. Secondly, what a fun contest. Thanks for playing along. We had over 100 images uploaded to Google+, Facebook and Twitter. Thank you so much for taking the time to do that. We sincerely appreciate it. And we hope that you had a chance to interact with our units in the wild.
As you can imagine, selecting a winner was not easy. There were some really creative entries. But we had to choose one, and the winner is:
The idea of using black and white imagery of such a colorful setup was really clever – and the idea of it being “Innovation HQ” at the DNC was brilliant. So Benjamin Brown wins a $250 gift card for this shot. But we wanted to also give credit to another contestant who did an amazing job of capturing imagery from both our main locations this week. Mark Gaw shot the images below, and his Flickr gallery of the event is worth the visit. To Mark, we’re sending a $100 gift card. And finally, as a special consolation for convincing President Obama to pose alongside the Google-plex, we’re awarding Chris Harrington a $50 card.
Thank you again for playing along. We had a blast.
